Toxin (admin)

Thought it would be worthwhile to give everyone an update of what the admin team, and moderator team, have been chatting about for the next site update, we are at version what now....like 1.3 i think.

Anyway, WALL OF TEXT, ACTIVATE.

Our current hosting expires in the first few months of next year (2009), and what we will be looking at doing is shifting to a suitible offshore host.

This would mean we can not only link to warez files, but also host them, or stream them, without getting harassed ourselves (too much..).

Alongside this, we will be actively expanding sections of geeklands, notably this update being a gaming section. This will be a section, with general discussion, mods and downloads (patches, maps, mods) etc. We will have geeklands.com public servers (eventually) for popular games & requested ones.

Its not yet decided what hosting will be used for the game servers, be it a dedicated box or through a game server provider, so more to come (open to suggestions).

Id like to see some discussion here, as im interested in what everyone thinks, about these plans, or their own ideas.
